Auditions for the 2011-2012 Season

ALL AUDITION REQUESTS need to go through your school orchestra director. Each applicant must be a bona fide member of his or her own school orchestra.

  • Viola-September 14
  • Cello/Bass-September 15
  • Violin-September 16-17

The audition schedule is now posted. You can locate your child's instrument and day/time.

Performance Requirements

1. Scales

  • Violin - Two octave G and D Major, One octave C Major.
  • Viola/Cello - Two octave C, D and G Major.
  • Bass - One octave G, C and D Major.

Scales must be performed in quarter notes at QUARTER NOTE = 96.

2. Prepared Piece: A prepared solo of your choice

4. Sight reading: Your child will be given music at the audition to perform without prior practice.
